TrailCarpenter Road, southwest edge
1,400 acres of prairie, wetland and reservoir southwest of town between Timnath and Fort Collins, an Audubon Important Bird Area with bald eagles in winter, bird blinds and short trails. Hikers only; no dogs or bikes.
TrailAlong the Cache la Poudre
The 45-mile paved trail from Bellvue to Greeley runs through Timnath along the Cache la Poudre; the last gap, a bridge south of town, closed in 2026.
BarOld Town, Main Street
The brewery in the 1920 Timnath Feed & Grain building on Main Street: its own beers, food trucks Wednesday to Sunday, music bingo, live music and a Monday run club. Family and dog friendly.
ParkSummerfields Parkway
The 25-acre park on Summerfields Parkway: splash pad, playgrounds, six pickleball and two tennis courts, an amphitheater, a dog park and fields; host of the Holiday Festival.
TrailCounty Road 40, east of town
The Town's 600-acre reservoir east of town with a six-mile shoreline and mountain views: fishing, swimming, paddling and motorized boating by permit. Residents' shore permits are free.
